The Notes Studio hosted its first annual concert on the 27th November 2010.
The event began with an opening performance by student Jane Ng playing the piano. She performed ‘Wild Honey Suckle Rag’ and the lively ‘YMCA’. The second performance was by Wafa and Samira. They both performed a playful piano duet titled ‘Play Party’.
Students Tae Min and Andy Nam presented the first guitar piece of the night with the song ‘Head On’, which seemed to please the crowd.
This was followed by a vocal act by girls Marisa, Naomi, Aiysha, Anjali, Maneesha and Tharaa. The girls sang two songs from the musical ‘The Sound of Music’. Sabrina accompanied the performance on the drums in the first song ‘Do Re Mi’, while Oaj played the drums in the second song ‘My Favourite Things’.
The night was made even more wonderful with a rendition of ‘Wonderful Tonight’ by Maverick on the guitar and vocals and Dhevian on the drums. They were both accompanied by Mr. Rowen, the guitar teacher.
The concert closed with a vocal performance by Melora, Arathi, Jane, Avaery, Hanna, Kaeshini, and Merissa. They sang ‘Yesterday Once More’, and ‘Close To You’ accompanied by Jayshrie on the guitar.
The Notes Studio is extremely proud of its students and their performances on that amazing night. It was a night filled with much music, laughter, love, and pride and we hope our students and their families had an equally wonderful time. The Notes Studio would also like to thank all students, their families, and those in attendance for their endless and continual support.
